AdBlue fault on EC Series Excavators: Volvo Construction Equipment
Although they are excellent working machines, we sometimes encounter faults in the emission treatment system on Volvo construction machines. In most cases it is the AdBlue or DPF system which is faulty and puts the vehicle in a degraded state. You can no longer use the vehicle, its power is reduced, the tasks entrusted to it cannot therefore be performed and you lose tens of thousands of $ per day ...
Which vehicles and engines are affected?
Excavators and excavators prone to AdBlue and DPF problems range from the smallest model to the largest. Thus, power restriction faults on the famous EC950F can occur during a part linked to the defective SCR system. The models below such as the EC750E, EC480E, EC380E, ECR355E, EC300E, EC250E have the same emission management system. The engine ECU coupled to the ACM Continental 2.1 unit send each other information concerning the cycles in progress on the vehicle, it is also they who record faults and limit their use.

How to replace the original ACM box with our own unit?
Access to the ACM control unit is generally easy on Volvo Equipment machines. Either just activate the vehicle battery switch, disconnect the plug (connector) that is connected to it and connect it to our AdBlue system virtualization unit.
Volvo Penta specific socket diagnosis
In 90% of cases once our unit has been connected, taking care to start the circuit breaker before installation, you should no longer have a fault, Neither AdBlue, Neither DPF (Fap), nor even any engine warning related with the emission control system. However in some cases it may be necessary to connect a Volvo Penta compatible diagnostic tool in order to erase it. You will find a photo to illustrate our remarks.
